Using Portable Insulation Testers for instant troubleshooting

Measurement tools for accurate measuring of PH and humidity

PH meter is an Alat Ukur or a measuring tool used to measure the PH levels, or to be precise the acidity or alkalinity levels of the tested liquid. The pH meter is an electronic device that consists of a measuring probe which is actually a glass rod with a bulb at the bottom. This bulb contains the sensors that pick up the PH measurements. The probe is connected to an electronic meter which displays the measurements made by the sensor on a digital screen. Because there are different kinds of liquids to be tested, there is a need for Kalibrasi of the PH meter before each test to make it more accurate and dependable. 



The calibration of pH meter requires at the minimum two liquid solutions which are also called “standard buffer solutions”. These buffers should be so chosen so as to cover the probable range of pH value span of liquid being measured or tested.  The pH level span ranges from pH 4 levels to pH 10 levels with pH 7 being the zero count. The Kalibrasi meter has two control buttons for setting buffer reading points and a third one for setting or adjusting temperatures. The liquid which is being tested for its pH value should be tested against a buffer reading of zero point (pH 7) and the second buffer at either towards the pH 4 or pH 10 points as per expected or probable PH value. 

Step #1 - Switch on the pH meter and let it warm up

Step #2 - Select the two pH buffer points, first being zero and the other at a point greater than the sample liquid either towards the pH 4 reading or pH 10 reading. 

Step #3 - Bring sensor temperature and the buffer solution temperature to uniform levels

Step #4 - Insert the electrode probe of pH Alat Ukur into the first buffer solution and allow the reading to stabilize. 

Step #5 - Set the pH meter to the pH value of the first buffer at decided temperature. 

Step #6 - After recording the zero buffer reading, the probe should be wiped with distilled water and rinsed with liquid of next buffer solution and again insert the probe after stabilizing probe and solution temperatures. 

Step #7 - After the calibration of PH meter at two buffer points is successfully done, the electrode’s probe may be rinsed and cleaned with sample solution and then accurate pH measurement of the sample solution can be taken. 

Humidity measuring tools
Alat Ukur Kelembaban or humidity measurement tools are required to measure percentage of water present in any given substance. A moisture meter is the instrument which is used for measuring moisture or humidity of a substance. Kelembaban measuring may be required in wood or paper product industries or in the food and agriculture industry. The Right Way to Carry out Calibration of pH Meter

PH meter are a very important measurement tool and seeks applications in a lot of different processes, like you can use it in your hydroponic system. However before you can balance your system you will need to calibrate it. Calibration of pH meter is very important else you will not get the correct reading. Therefore, you need to calibrate your pH meter almost every week. In the case of the meter not being calibrated, no matter for what work you are using your meter, it will surely go wrong. Such as in the case of a hydroponic system, an uncalibrated meter is sure to not only damage your plants but in extreme cases even kill them.


Therefore you need to know the basics of kalibrasi pH metercalibration. For the starters you will need calibration solutions which would be two in number. Basically a digital meter that requires just a single solution for calibration is generally not a very good meter. Therefore when you use two calibration solutions then the pH of them should be 7 and 4 respectively. Now the next thing that is required by you would be three big sized glasses or even three plastic containers would also work for you. These containers should be big enough that you can immerse your pH probe.


Out of three, one container is used for holding water so that you can rinse your pH probe for calibration. You will keep the pH 7 solution in the second container and the pH 4 solution in the third. Also you should check your meter for cracks salt, algae, or other impurities. If you find any impurity as such you can use a cotton swab to clean the probe. Once this whole setup is complete you can easily carry out the calibration process. This is a very important measurement tool but without calibration you cannot get the correct reading therefore you need to do the calibration perfectly.

The Working principle of Fluke thermal imager

Thermal imaging imager is something that everyone has seen in their life in movies and documentary but is not aware of its real name that is thermal imaging imager. In movies you would have definitely seen the imagers that tell about the presence of humans or animals in dark by sensing their body heat. Actually, these imagers transform heat or thermal energy in to color or visible light so that a particular scenario or an object can be analyzed. In this process, the image that is derived is known as thermo gram and the analysis of this image is done through a process called as thermograph.

There are many variations or different models available such as TI400, TI32, TI300, TI125, 43B and many more. As you would be already aware that all objects radiate some amount of thermal energy and the imager detects this energy with the help of a sensor called micro bolometer. Basically, this micro bolometer is found in all the models such as TI132 or TI125 and is actually an arrangement of pixels. These pixels are made using a lot of different kind of compounds and the most common ones are vanadium oxide and amorphous silicon.


When the thermal energy of an object is sensed by the fluke thermalimager, the material of the pixels gets heated and this leads to a change in the electrical resistance. Consequently, the resistance is measured and the value obtained is then converted in to a temperature value. Once the value has been obtained, then the next step is the generation of a thermo gram. Each temperature value is given a color or a shade and then accordingly the thermo gram is prepared.

After approximately one year of preparation in the improvement of the quality management system accompanied by Sentra Transforma one ISO consultants in Indonesia, we do a lot of preparation to make improvements to achieve the quality management system standard.


After making various preparations, it was the time for Tridinamika to bring external ISO auditor. Tridinamika invite external ISO Auditor for SGS Indonesia. Both Auditor teams from SGS, Mr. Rizamarro and Mr. Arie Nugroho present to conduct an audit or examine the suitability of the system to the standardization of ISO 9001: 2008. The audit was quite exhausting both body and mind, since this is the point of the assessment team's hard work over the years.


The Auditor conducts an audit in several departments of Tridinamika, right at 17:00 P.M. The auditor teams represented by Mr. Rizamarro announce the results of the audit. "After conducting an audit of all departments today, we did not find any Major findings, thus Tridinamika is eligible to receive ISO 9001: 2008", said Chairman of the Auditors who inevitably greeted with thunderous applause from the management and leaders of the department also present in the meeting announcement.


With this, Tridinamika declared successful in achieving ISO 9001: 2008 for the category "Trading and Distribution Test and Measurement Product" at UKAS certification body which is on par with the various other world-class companies.

Seminar Industrial Tridinamika – Fluke National Customer Summit 2014

“Predictive Maintenance and Effective Troubleshooting Solution”

On Thursday (04/09/2014) PT Tridinamika Jaya Instrument cooperate with Fluke to hold an activity titled Fluke National Customer Summit 2014. Topic in the event was discussed about "Predictive Maintenance and Troubleshooting Effective Solution". Located in the building Jakarta Design Center (JDC), seminar was attended by over 200 people who came from various fields companies as well as from various regions in Indonesia. This seminar presents a speaker that is Mr. Jeremy Ang, who is the Product Marketing Manager of Fluke from Singapore. He came to Indonesia in particular to convey materials about predictive maintenance at a seminar held by Tridinamika.


Registration process opened at 08.00 . Event was opened with a welcoming speech, delivered by Mr. Cipto Utomo as representatives from Tridinamika that explains the development business Tridinamika until the establishment of cooperation with Fluke. After that, Mr. Amit Kumar Sharma as the representatives fluke also introduce team fluke who attended the event that day and provide a description of the product as well as the relationship between the Fluke Fluke with Tridinamika that goes well over the years. Seminar consists of 3 materials to discuss predictive maintenance, some electrical, mechanical, production system, power quality, until about effective troubleshooting solution. An Insight into Power Quality Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers

Various analyzers are used in instrumentation be it homes, electrical substations, laboratories or industries. Some analyze voltages and currents while others are meant for acoustics and optical waveforms. Power quality analyzers and spectrum analyzers are suitable examples!

The quality of power supplied to an electrical system and consumed by it are one of the paramount factors that determine the cost and reliability of the system. Poor power quality simply translates to issues like overheating, blackouts and burnouts, falsely tripped circuit breakers and even severely damaging conditions. Not only are they used in bigger industries and stations but, power analyzers have now become one of the vitals in household electrical systems too. Power analyzers, when installed in homes can curb power wastage by a great factor.

A Power Quality Analyzer basically calculates power demand, actual consumption and power cleanliness. While the demand and consumption may be easier of the three aspects to understand by the name itself, power cleanliness is a bit tricky. Non-linear loads result in irregular spikes and dips in voltage and current in any electrical system. These fluctuating loads cause harmonics in the system which is the measure of power cleanliness. A power quality analyzer measures all these factors and is able to identify average power, fundamental harmonics and everything required to provide the electrical system with a stable and clean supply of power.

A spectrum analyzer can also investigate the composition of an electrical signal. However, spectrum analyzers are not used for household supply analysis. Spectrum analyzers, much suited in the hands of scientists and researchers, can examine electrical, optical and acoustic wave forms by measuring their fundamental elements.

Spectrum analyzers measure any signal in reference with its frequency and amplitude. There are analog spectrum analyzers and digital spectrum analyzers. While the former uses band pass filters, the latter makes use of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to break down waves into their fundamental components. These digitized components of a wave make it easier for a computer or measurement system to make precise measurements or apply the transformations.

Variety of Oscilloscopes and Calibrators from Tektronix

Calibration is one of the crucial processes required to be done before any testing or analysis. The process involves comparison of an instrument’s measurement against set standards of measurements in order to ensure precision of the desired device. Even oscilloscopes themselves need calibration. Nevertheless, an oscilloscope can be used for the process of calibration too. Tektronix also provides oscilloscope calibrators suitable for calibrating various instruments.

If you seek to calibrate a thermometer, some oscilloscope calibrator models from the brand are capable of simulating a number of thermocouple types and RTDs, thus covering the calibration requirements of most of electronic thermometers. Laser Particle Counters and Digital Battery Testers

We live in the age of technology so advanced that there are gadgets available to measure virtually everything. Measuring instruments have now become of even greater significance because not just laboratories and industries see their use but you might end up needed one for a very regular household purpose. The term basically refers to a laser based device that is used to detect and count the number of entities/particles in a particular media. Along with the development of information technology, computers and telecommunications issues facing rapidly growing too. World of telecommunications which is the core of the development of this technology is also experiencing the same thing. In the world of telecommunications cellular, technological leaps even faster. The development of 3G mobile data technologist to LTE/4G faster than 2G to 3G technology developments, this fact can be concluded that the technology will further eventuated faster. The need for high data services in the community are also forced organizers to widen the range of data services.
