A spectrum analyzer is a device which displays both signal amplitude and signal frequency on a comparative scale. A final graph is made that shows frequency of signals on the horizontal axis, and amplitude visible over the vertical axis. Instruments designed for daily purpose show results as an oscilloscope however, the laboratory instruments provide high precision results.

A spectrum analyzer is used to find out if any wireless transmitter is working in a proper state or not.
